CARE POINT GRADUATIONS

This was a big week at all of the CarePoints across the network. Yes it was graduation day for the kids. The school year ends here around this time of year with the new school year beginning somewhere around the end of January. Remember we are at the end of spring here and going into summer. I haven’t quite figured out what I think about the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays coming in the spring/summer seasons. Guess I better get used to it, pretty sure Gods not gonna adjust the seasons to fit my liking.
All the kids looked great in their caps and gowns, a special touch that has been added. I think it really makes a difference when we make a big deal of the childrens accomplishments. One thing I have noticed here is the fact that children do not get the praise and recognition they deserve when they do well at something. Most of them are shocked and even embarrassed when they are praised for doing well. It’s such an easy thing to do and I always try to remind myself to not forget that I need to let them know when they have done a good job.
Here are some pictures of the graduates at the Mangweneni, Manzini CarePoint. This is the CarePoint which was “adopted” by our last Celebration team in September. This group spent a lot of time not only working on improvements at the CarePoint but more importantly forging relationships with these precious kids.
Take a good look at these kids. They are just another tangible example of the impact that your giving is having all over the world. These are future leaders and potential world changers right here in the midst of all the hunger, disease and hoplessness. We may never know this side of heaven what the impact was on these children, their families, this nation and even the world. The simple acts of kindness we are able to show, the training and education we are able to offer, the meals we can feed them and most importantly the love of Christ we are able to rain down upon them, this is the best we can do. God will surely take care of the rest. Thanks to everyone for loving the children and making it possible for me to do the same here in Africa.
